He was born Feb. 6, 1927 in Smithville, IL to Ralph and Matilda Mae (Ely) Richardson. He married Rosemary Ausmus Nov. 13, 1946 in Lewistown. She survives in Peoria along with one daughter, Julie (Gary) Clark of Yates City, two sons: Donald T. (Cheryl) Richardson of Cuba, MO, Daniel (Connie) Richardson of Brimfield, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one sister, Elsie Everitt of Burleson, TX, and two brothers: Henry (Pearl) Richardson of Hot Springs, AK, and Wilbur (Peggy) Pheasant of Ringling, OK.
He was preceded death by his parents and one sister, Mary Pheasant.
Don was a WWII Navy Veteran.
He owned and operated Don and Bill’s Auto Service on the corner of Adams and Western for 35 years.
Funeral services will be Friday Sep. 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria with Military Honors.
