Diane (nee Bath) Mesenbrink

Diane (nee Bath) Mesenbrink, 72, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, entered into the fullness of the Kingdom of God on January 22nd, 2022. She was born to Robert and Anna Mae (nee Kreiter) Bath on June 23rd, 1949. Diane, a devoted and loving mother, aunt, and grandparent, is survived by her sons Jeff (Adriane) Matkovich and Scott (Kyra) Matkovich; her siblings Christian (Dawn) McClure; her grandchildren Jeffrey and Eden Matkovich; nephews Jonathan (Kathryn) McClure, Sean McClure, and John McClure; and her nieces Katie McClure and Molly McClure. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth and Rory McClure.

Diane graduated from Peoria High School in 1967, earned her nursing certificate from Moline School for Nurses and devoted the next forty years in the service of nursing. Diane loved to laugh. To know her was to know her contagious (and unique) laugh that would often take several minutes to stop once it got started. She had a childlike fascination with the smallest things, full of questions and wonder, and was always on the lookout for a good bakery to get a “sweet snack”. With a deep loyalty to those she loved, Diane was quick to offer whatever she could do to help, even if just a kind word of support. She will be dearly missed by us all.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
