Dennis George Wright

He was born on June 03, 1951 to Merrill and Esther (Brown) Wright. He married Sally Neal in Hawaii on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2004. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Kyle (Elise Carey) Wright, Kevin (Rachel) Wright, and Jenny (Matt) Ashby; step-children: Julie (Scott) Schroer and Janell (Kamal Kishore) Phan; grandchildren: Maya Walbert, Avery Wright, Adalyn Wright, Archer Ashby, and Corbin Ashby; step-grandchildren: Alexander Schroer, Noah Schroer, Carissa Phan, and Felicia Phan; and siblings: Roger (Connie) Wright, Leon (Deborah) Wright, and Connie Sue (Jerry) Nelson.

His parents preceded him in death.

Dennis worked as an electrician for ATS.

He enjoyed Bradley basketball and other sporting events, traveling, gardening, and his ’93 Corvette. He loved his animals: Maxi, Baloo, and Sophie, and he enjoyed family outings and spending time with his grandkids. Dennis was a unique man with a good sense of humor. He was a people-person who never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. Dennis was a good, genuine, hard-working, family-oriented man, and a devoted husband.

But, most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. His grandchildren were his greatest joy. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A visitation for Dennis will take place at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm, and burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.
