Born December 19, 1928 in Sikeston, MO, a daughter of James Rufus and Sarah Jane Rupbert Bell, she married William Cook on November 12, 1955 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2000 in Charlotte, NC.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, and seven brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Angela (Charles) Cook-Couch of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Hamilton-Waddell, Douglas William Falkner, and David Aaron Falkner all of Charlotte, NC; three great grandchildren, Devin, William, and Daijah; two sisters, Lula Davis and Rosie (William) Hurt both of Peoria; two brothers, Alexander Bell Sr. of Jefferson City, MO, and Robert Bell Sr. of Olmsted; and several nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was employed by Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria as a LPN for several years. After retirement, because of her love, compassion, and desire to care for others, she continued nursing.
She was a former member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Peoria, and currently attended the Central Church of God in Charlotte, NC.
She was a very loving mom, grandma, great grandma, and sister.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. The Rev. Alexander Bell Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
