Teresa Simmons

Teresa Yvonne Pitts Simmons was born on May 25, 1965 to Billy Joe Pitts Sr. and Wilma Yvonne Parrish Blain in Pensacola,Florida. Wilma transitioned from this life peacefully on Thursday morning October 27, 2022 at the Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Teresa attended Pensacola High School and she graduated in the Class of 1982, Later in life, Teresa started her own cleaning business. As a mom, Teresa cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. Also, Teresa had many friends that she loved and enjoyed spending time. Teresa was so happy when she took many trips to the beach and enjoyed great food and music. She was a collector of seashells on the beach. Teresa would light up any room with her welcoming personality, she was the focal point of any gatherings with family and friends. Teresa wanted everyone to feel loved and have a great time with her. Teresa was a dedicated football fan and made sure you knew her favorite college team the “ Georgia Bulldogs”. Also she loved sitting at home and watching “Law and Order”. One of Teresa's most talked about and proud highlights of this year "God allowing her to see her first grandson graduate High School and attend College.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory three devoted daughters Christa Simmons of Denham Springs, La. , Amanda Sandoval, (Jason Sandoval, husband) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Nina Simmons of Pensacola, Florida Two step children;Dwayne Simmons Jr. of Colorado and Ashley Simmons of Pensacola, Florida One brother Billy Joe Pitts Jr. of Pensacola,Florida and her Father Billy Joe Pitts Sr. of Pensacola, Florida Her grandchildren Rayshawn Simmons, Rashad Taylor and Karter Bland all of Denham springs, La. Jayceon Sandoval, Elijah Sandoval, Vera Sandoval, and Elaina Sandoval all of Colorado Springs, Colorado

She is preceded in death by her mother Wilma Yvonne Blain “Parrish” her daughter Rebecca Renee Simmons , her grandparents Arnelle Pitts and Cecil Pitts, and grandmother Vera Parrish.

A Visitation for Teresa will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway 90e, Pensacola, FL 32503, followed by a Funeral Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
