Susan Maria Harris of Pensacola, Florida was born August 29, 1954, and passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020. Susan passed peacefully in the exceptional care of Covenant Care Hospice at Sacred Heart Hospital. Thankfully, she was only there five days due to extensive lung cancer.
Susan went to Woodham High School and lived in Molino, Florida, for the last 36 years. She loved animals and had many dogs, cats and horses over the years. Susan loved fishing with her mother and especially canoeing on Perdido River near her home. She had an amazing Dad, Tom, who was a Navy Radio Man in WWII and Korean War. Her mother, Eutah, was the sweetest, most kind and loving person anyone could hope to meet. Susan leaves behind her only son, Lance, who just recently moved back to Pensacola after a career with the U.S. Border Patrol in Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Bingham Harris and Eutah Bishop Harris. She is survived by her son, Lance Adin Lawrence.
A visitation for Susan will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, Pensacola, FL. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, Pensacola, FL. A burial service will follow Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, Florida.
