Sonya Burkhart Wylie passed away Thursday, June 7. 2018. She is survived by her husband, Scott Wylie, sisters Paula Burkhart Ponder, Beth Burkhart Bobe (Russell (Rocky)), and brother Brion Nantz Burkhart as well as numerous nieces and nephews she loved beyond measure She is reunited in death with her son, Scott Travis Burkhart, brothers Edmond Burkhart, Jr. and Larry Donn Burkhart, parents Edmond Burkhart, Sr. and mother, Sara Rowena Armstrong Burkhart.
The love and nurturing she extended to her family and friends is irreplaceable and a blessing to everyone she came to know, two legged and four legged, and is one of the bright spots remaining from the life she lived. She never met a stranger, helped those in need of love, emotional and financial support, as well as anyone needing a guiding light or shoulder to lean upon, and, always, the life of any gathering.
There are no words to express the loss we are all experiencing but we celebrate her place in heaven and are rejoicing in the immense love she bestowed on each of us. We are richer beyond belief for having her in our lives and knowing she will always be watching over us.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
