Sherry Jean was born on November 13, 1941 in Pensacola, Florida to George W. and Essie Belle Cotton, both who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a member of the Pensacola High School 1959 graduating class. She loved her work with Dr. Hinton for 25 years because it offered her the opportunity to watch generations of patients grow up. It was very rewarding for her to be part of their lives. Time with family and friends was important to her, as well as serving others. Sherry Jean was a member of Courts of Praise Fellowship and was an active part of the ministry at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time with the residents there, giving them hugs, sharing scripture, and singing hymns with them. The mountains were always her favorite place to visit, and she would take the trip whenever she was able.
Sherry Jean is preceded in death by her parents; brother George Cotton Jr.; sister Hilda M. Murph; husband John Q. Bedsole; and husband David F. Turlington. She is survived by her sister Rose Ann (Pat) Murphy; step-daughters Lori (Bill) Foxworth; Karla (Bryan) Pittman; grandchildren Brandon Pittman; Kelly (Nate Richter) Pittman; Willow Foxworth; and Brandi Foxworth; special beloved friend, Linda (Michael) McLamb; cousin and special friend Martha Ward; and beloved dog, Tyler.
