Ronald Sherwood Robinson passed away on February 8, 2021. He was born on September 20, 1943 in Pensacola, Florida. He graduated from Pensacola Technical High School, where he met the love of his life, Bobbie “Toots” Robinson. He continued his education at Okaloosa Walton College and where he received an Associate of Arts Degree.
Ronnie owned and operated Robinson’s Masonry for over 40 years. Upon retirement he worked part time delivering newspapers at the Pensacola News Journal, which he really enjoyed. He became a favorite to many of his customers.
Ronnie looked forward to his yearly fishing trip with his brothers in Merritt Island, at his brother Rusty's home. Another favorite yearly event was the annual family reunion in Navy Point, at his sister Sue's property.
Ronnie was an avid fan of FSU "Fear the Spear", and the New Orleans Saints.
Ronnie was a member of Warrington Assembly of God, where he will always be remembered for his love and passion for the Lord.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Berniece and S.D. Robinson, wife, Bobbie "Toots" Robinson, son, Kenneth Robinson, daughter, Christy Lassitter and brother, Robert Robinson.
Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Randy) Miller and Robin Cocuy, his grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Lassitter, Shane Hamilton, Morgan Cocuy , Bryce and Brandon Miller, his great-grandchildren, Joshua, McKenzie and McKenna, sisters, Sue (Charlie) Byrne and Yvonne Fassette, Brothers, Rusty (Peggy) Robinson, Gene (Sandy) Robinson, Larry Robinson and Delmar (Cheeta) Robinson.
A Memorial Service will be held of February 13, 2021 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida. Visitation will start at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. A short reception will be held following the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be: Shane Hamilton, Joshua Lassitter, Brandon Miller, Alfred Jackson, Terry Jackson Sr., and Richard Murray.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Josh Lassitter, Russell W. Robinson, Richard Larry Robins Sr., Raymond E. Robinson, James D. Robinson, Richard A. Dioniso, Paul Jackson, Tomi Jackson, Gary Jackson and David Jackson.
