Mr. Brackin retired from International Paper after 38 years of service. He was an accomplished forklift driver having won contest for being able to drive in contest. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest love was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Don and Johnny Brackin.
Survivors include his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Joshua James & Teena Brackin; his daughter, Tara Brackin; his grandchildren, JoAnn Brackin, Derrick James Brackin and Alyssa McIntosh; his sister, Debbie Brackin Metcalf, all of Pensacola, FL; and his nieces.
A Life Celebration Gathering will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 4 until 6 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
