Raymond F. Brown, 83, of Pensacola Florida passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024. He was born to James J. Brown and Frances Ayers Brown in New York City, New York and moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1974.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy as an aircraft engine mechanic making E5 in less than 2 years, something he was proud of. Following his time in the military he joined National Cash Register Company as branch manager for business machines sales and service in Texas and later becoming a business owner of the same trade in Pensacola. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, stamp collecting and treasure hunting by panning for gold. He was an adventurer who loved to travel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances Brown and siblings Joe, James, Geraldine and Eddie.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda and son-in-law James Davis; his son, James Brown; his former wife, Joan Brown; grandchildren, Melissa Davis, Joshua Davis (Allyson) and Sydney Davis; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Baston, Joshua Baston, Ezrael Davis and Selah Davis; and brother, Kenny Brown of New Jersey.
We will miss you Granddaddy and will remember all the good times. You have been and always shall be loved.
Private memorial services will be held for family and close friends. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
