Randy Nate Slack, 70, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on August 9, 2021. He was born in Panama Canal Zone on February 20, 1951 to Harry and Lee Slack. He was married to Iris Crockett Slack to 49 wonderful years.
Randy served in the Air Force 1971-1974. He served in Kunsan, South Korea. In 1974, after returning home, Randy pursued his BS degree at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. After graduation, Randy was hired on with the Texas State Fire Marshal’s office, assigned in Duncanville, Texas. He gained so much experience and loved his job. The city of Plano, Texas hired him and he worked as a Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator for over 22 years. During this same time period he worked locally with the city of Wylie. Randy also worked for Bureau Veritas as a Fire Safety Inspector for Approximately 6 years. He also had a passion for Gardening, and a love for his precious puppies, Minnie and Daisy.
Randy is preceded in death by his father Harry Marvin Slack, brothers Robbie Slack and Reid Allen Slack, and son Koby Michael Slack.
He is survived by his wife Iris Crockett Slack, son Kyle Matthew Slack, sisters Christine Perry and Connie Osborn, mother Lee Slack and brother Richard Slack.
The family has entrusted Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens with arrangements. A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 9:30am. At 1985 W, Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534. Service to follow at 10:00am.
