Pete moved to Pensacola, FL, from Cataula, Ga January 20, 2022. He was retired from Civil Service as a Video Tape Technician. Pete was a Veteran of the United State Air Force. He was also a member of The Point Church. Pete was a Masons of GA, he coached Little League Baseball. He also enjoyed softball and fishing.
Pete was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth Pilcher Ammons and Otis E. Ammons, brother Jerry, sisters: Exie, Mary and Margie.
Pete is survived by his wife Karen Kearbey Ammons, 2 sons Brian (Anne) and Todd (Terri), brothers: J.R., Clayton (Jan) and Avery (Patricia), sister Dianne, along with 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will occur Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508. A reception will occur Friday, January 20, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 13801 Innerarity Point Rd, Pensacola, FL 32507.
