Michael “Mike” Bonner, 72, of Pensacola, FL, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2021. Mike was born April 7, 1949 in Pensacola, FL to parents Pearl and Orville Bonner.
In his early years of work, his most prized job was his time spent with Michigan Wheel, where he helped to build propellers for large ships. This passion most likely came from his 1968 enlistment into the Navy. Unfortunately, his duties where cut short due to a prior neck inquiry.
Mike had a love for music and had a live concert DVD collection to match!
If you’ve ever been to his house, you’ve probably sat through one. He also loved sports of many kinds: boxing, racing and football but I would say that his love for his cats and the squirrels that he raised throughout the years he valued the most. He was full of interesting facts in a variety of topics and loved to share with anyone willing to listen.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Pearl Smith and father, Orville Roland Bonner; his brother, David Bonner (Ann Bonner).
He is survived by his son, Sean Bonner (Lindsay Bonner); his only grandson, Alton Bonner; three nieces: Shannon Garrett (Johnny Garrett), Melonie Callahan (John Callahan) and Tanya Menard (Art Menard).
He will be missed by numerous family and friends whom he loved and loved him dearly.
