Maxine Schultz Gillenwater, 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at home with her family in Cantonment. Maxine was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on May 5, 1936 to Max and Edith Schultz. She was a real estate agent and homemaker, a beloved wife of 62 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. Mrs. Gillenwater is survived by her husband, Arthur “Pat” Gillenwater; son Mack Gillenwater; a daughter Helen (Patrick) Gleason; grandchildren: Monica, Bobby and Austin; great grandchildren: Brody, Zack and Braden; great-great grandchildren: Logan, Lucy and Carter; and sisters Rosemarie Anderson and Patty Wargo . She was preceded in death by her son Gary Gillenwater and her sister Violet Gualter.
Maxine was a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports telecast. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. A service will immediately follow, with interment at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1100 East Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida 32514.
