Martin “Mac” McManus, 72, of Pensacola, Fl passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019. He was born on February 5, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, Pa to his late parents Martin and Margaret McManus. He was the oldest of three children.
Mac served 21 years as a machinist in the Navy. After retiring from the Navy, he started working as a valve technician in Nuclear Power for 20+ years. Mac enjoyed watching Nascar and watching football and was also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was always up for a good time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Hilda Salado McManus; daughter, Margarita McManus; and youngest son, Joseph McManus.
He is survived by his sister, Nancy Mastopietro; brother, David McManus; two sons, Ronnie and Martin “Marty” McManus; five grandchildren, Chelsea Bordonaro, Jayden McManus, Alexis “Lexie” Gardner, William “Schuyler” McManus, and Jacob Powell; and along with seven great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held on from 12:00-1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. His funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm and interment will immediately follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
