Marli Shea McManus

1999-2014

Marli Shea McManus, born on May 24, 1999, passed away on July 23, 2014. Marli was a loving daughter and an amazing sister. She was beautiful and loved by all that knew her.

Marli was a student at Papillion-La Vista High School in NE. With her passion for music, Marli played the piano and was a member of the Titan marching band where she played the flute. She was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and was a Selectee for the National Honor Society. She had visited more than 14 countries and recently returned from Australia with her loving grandparents.

Marli was preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald Eugene Ogden.

Marli is survived by her loving parents, Rich and Terry McManus, and her brother Richard Allen McManus of Papillion, Nebraska. Her grandparents, Dick McManus (Leslie) of Houston, TX; Lynne Ward (Richard) of Estes Park, CO; and Omey Ogden of Pensacola, FL; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Marli was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. Her anticipation of an eventual valve replacement affected many of her eating and exercising decisions. For her memorial, we ask that in lieu of flowers people donate to the Children's Heart Foundation so that others may have the opportunity to experience life, family, and the blessing of God as Marli did. Her memorial service will be held on Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida at the All Faith's Chapel on Monday, 28 July at 08:00 am. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 9:30 am. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oaklawnfunerals.com.
