Marjorie Ann Shepherd (1947-2015) passed away July 8th of complications following a stroke suffered in the early morning hours on July 6th. Marg is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Glen Shepherd and Gnell Burgess Shepherd. She is survived by siblings Shirley Powell (Mike Powell) and Ken Shepherd (Kelly Shepherd), nephews Christopher Powell and Matthew Powell, niece Ashley Johnson (David Johnson) and great nephew Coleman Johnson.Marg was a student of the first graduating class of Woodham High School in 1966. After graduating with a B.A. In Communication Arts Broadcasting from The University of West Florida she worked at WJHG in Panama City, Florida as Director of Programming and Director of Promotions for over twenty years. After returning to Pensacola Marg worked as Programming Assistant, recently retired, with her WEAR family for eighteen years. Marg loved the arts and was creative in craft artistry and creative writing. Passionate about all things whimsical and bright she loved all things Disney she was an avid collector of Disney movies and memorabilia. She loved fantasy cinema epics of love and happiness believing in forever after and miracles. Marg was an advocate for animals and was the rescuer and protector of many cats volunteering her time helping with cat adoption and care. A staunch believer in giving back Marg gave of herself selflessly as an organ donor and through her passing will pass on the gift of continuance to others in need. Margie was a sister, friend, listener, giver and a joy. She will be missed by all who had the honor and the pleasure to have made her acquaintance. In Liu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Pensacola Humane Society. Services for Marjorie Ann Shepherd will be held at Bayview Memorial Chapel on 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola on July 11, 2015 family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00-3:00 Celebration of Marg life will be conducted at 3:00pm with burial to follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
