Louis Ferrell

Louis Wilson Ferrell, Ret AFCM/Master Chief of Pensacola, FL age 84 passed away on 10/11/2022 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born on 10/10/1938 in Johnsville, AR to Bernard and Emma McFadden Ferrell. Louis joined the Navy when he was 16 years old and served 30 years retiring as an AFCM Master Chief on 11/31/1984. Following his military retirement, he worked for Civil Service and Raytheon for several years as member of contract field teams working in the United States and Japan. Of all his accomplishments he was most proud of his family and military services.

Other than his parents he is predeceased by his stepmother Maude Ferrell and two brothers Walter Ferrell and Phillip Ferrell. He is survived by his wife Maria Delfina Barrio Ferrell, one son Noel Ferrell of Pensacola Florida, two daughters Gina Scharf( Larry Eaton) of Pensacola and Maria Teresa Ellis ( Jackie) of Advance, NC, four grandchildren- Weslley Ellis, Bryce Ellis, Christopher Schneider and Alex Schneider. Two sisters Patricia South of Cheney Washington and Vickie Barrett of Lake Village, AR.

He also leaves a host of nephews and nieces both in the US and in the Philippines, two special friends Charlie Ellis and Bo Simmons. Waiting to greet him in heaven is his favorite dog he calls booboo.
