He was born on December 1, 1936 to Charles E. Fowler and Ella A. Sharp. He was born in Steele, Missouri but his family traveled to many different places.
Joe met the love of his life, Dollie and they had two children, Jolivia and Michael. He was a loving husband, father and known as grandfather "Pop". He was also a great friend.
Joe was a devoted member of the Moose Lodge for over twenty years. He was promoted over the years to a Governor for a term, as well as a Legionnaire.
He was a carpenter by trade who worked for many companies in our area. He loved to fish, almost everything in his life revolved around wetting a hook or drowning a worm.
He always made sure that all bills were paid so Dollie would not get upset about fishing!!
He loved having fish fries and cook outs. He was always social and friendly and always up to play games with the kids, no matter how tired he was.
It's hard to sum up 87 years of a great, deeply loved man in a few short paragraphs but everything about Joe G. Fowler will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. Rest in peace.
