Born in Americus, Georgia, he was the son of Lester W. Wells and Clara Emogene Goodwin. Jerry attended Jordan High School and graduated Columbus College with a BBA. He was self-employed at Wells Food Brokerage. He was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Bratt. He enjoyed golf and other sports, etc.
Jerry will be remembered for his caring personality, thoughtfulness, the way he loved his family and friends, his kind heart, and the way he made people laugh by telling jokes. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather to his wonderful grandkids and great grandkids. He is survived by his wife Brenda, son Jeff (Brandy), six grandkids, and eight great-grandkids. He was predeceased by his son Scott Alan Wells.
The funeral service will be held on December 11th, 2021 at 2:00pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, 1985 West Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, Florida 32534. The viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00pm. Donation in lieu of flowers may be made to Brenda Wells 3540 N Pine Barren Rd, McDavid, Florida 32568 for Jerry’s headstone cost. Donations will be greatly appreciated.
Jerry will be laid to rest in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
