Jane Wilson Smith, 98, died Jan. 3, 2024 at St. Elizabeth’s Place in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Pensacola, FL. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Leon Smith, for 68 years. Their married life took them to several locations in the South including Pensacola, FL, Corinth, MS, Savannah, TN, Franklin, TN and Jonesboro, AR. She was a porcelain artist who enjoyed teaching students in her studio as well as traveling around the country to share and support the art of china painting by teaching at seminars. Jane's main love was her family. She loved her two daughters and delighted in her two grandchildren. She was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church and the Friendship/Fellowship Sunday School class.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Smith, her daughter, Cynthia Smith Orr, her only granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Orr, as well as her 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Joel) Miller of Jonesboro, AR, one grandson, Scott Orr of Conway, AR and her son in law, Bill Orr of Conway, AR.
A graveside service will be held at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, FL on Jan. 10, 2024 with Rev. Brandon Bures officiating.
