Gary passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of sixty-five. Gary was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Marjorie Louise Mea, his beloved sons George Michael (Courtney) Mea of Pensacola, FL, Greg Anthony (Lydia) Mea of San Diego, CA, his beloved grandsons Miguel and Adrian Mea of San Diego, CA and his precious granddaughter Khaleesi Mea of Pensacola, FL, his sister Brenda (Steve) Johnson and niece Kate Johnson of Denver, CO. Gary was preceded in death by is parents Charles Nicholas Mea Jr and Lucille Louise Whitehead Mea.
Gary was a Pensacola native and graduated from Pensacola High School. He spent many years working as an automotive mechanic and doing what he loved most working as a sound and lighting technician in the music industry. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed bowling, fishing, watching his favorite TV shows and spending time with family and friends. Gary was a loyal friend who was always willing to help anyone he cared about.
A Memorial Gathering for Gary will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 W. Nine Mile Road, FL 32534, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
