Faye was born in Repton, Alabama in 1933. She and her husband moved to Pensacola, Florida where they spent 46 years together. Faye was an identical twin to Gaye Kent and they lived next door to each other for 65 years. Faye was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church, a member of Wesley Memorial Sunday School Class, and member of the Altar Guild. She retired from St. Regis Paper Company and Stone Container Company. She loved God, church, family, and cooking for people.
She was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was always there when we needed her providing support, wisdom, love, prayer, and all the food you could eat. She was loved and will be missed.
She was predeceased by her parents; Thomas S. and Ida Mae Nall; husband, Aaron Reed; daughter, Melinda Harville; sisters, Mary Lazarine and Carrie Mae Walston.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sandra Reed; grandchildren, Jason Reed (Courtney), David Harville (Jessica), and Stephanie Brooks (Lake); great-grandchildren, Wyatt Reed, Dylan Reed, Dawson Brooks, Ellen Grace Brooks, and Harrison Brooks; her twin sister, Gaye Kent; brother, Tommy Nall (Beth) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, Florida with Dr. Ted Traylor officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Faye will be laid to rest in Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida. Serving as pallbearers are Jason Reed, David Harville, Wyatt Reed, Dylan Reed, Lake Brooks and Mark Price.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ministry of Village Food Pantry at Olive Baptist Church or St. Luke United Methodist Church General Fund.
