Charles M. Green

February 23, 1932 ~ April 25, 2012

In Memory of Charles M. Green, who passed away April 25, 2012. Charles was born February 23, 1932 to Arden and Gertrude Green in Gilmer, TX; the second of nine children. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Navy and proudly served for 30 years in the Medical Service Corps.

He retired a Commander in 1980. During this time Charles and his wife Jeannette raised their four children.

Charles is survived by his daughter Janis Green, and his two sons, Steven and Gary Green. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette and his son Eddie.

Charlie was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He spent the last twenty years of his retirement in Pensacola with his second wife, Estelle Weston who passed away in October of 2011.

He was a man of honor and integrity and he will be deeply missed.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Oak Lawn Funeral Home Chapel 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, Florida 32506; followed by Graveside Service and Interment at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
