Born on March 20, 1922, he grew up in Boise, Idaho and Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for over twenty years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the Knights of Columbus. He was married to the late Margaret Tierney Crill.
He is survived by his two sons, Patrick Crill and his wife Hildred of Stockholm, Sweden, and Raymond Crill and his wife Mary Lou of Benicia, California. He is also survived by two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home in Pensacola. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated to noon on Wednesday, July 10 at St John’s Catholic Church at 302 South Navy Blvd. Warrington, Fl. At 11 am to noon. Burial will be 12:15 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to USO Northwest Florida at P.O. Box 33135, Pensacola, FL 32508. Oak Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
