George W. Johnson Jr.

George was born in Berwick, PA on August 3, 1928, the son of the late George W. and Ruth (Whitenight) Johnson. He was a machine operator for Parlec, Farrell Corp., and Kronenberger-Wahl Corp. where he retired from. He was a member of the Penn Yan Loyal Order of the Moose and the Prattsburgh Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia (Hill) Johnson; daughters, Linda (Russell) Warner, Beverly (James) Davis, step children, Shawn McConnon, Chris McConnon, and Heather Engert; grandchildren, Danny and Robert Davis; four great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Bangert; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his first wife, Ora Lamb; son, Rusty Johnson; grandson Todd Davis; and his three brothers and two sisters.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27th, 2011 at 6pm at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY with the Rev. Paul Malles officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, NY 14609-5896.
