Joe Dan Harmon Sr.

Joe Harmon Sr., age 93, went to his heavenly home February 5, 2022 at approximately 6:30 a.m. He was born June 7, 1928 and was a life-long resident of Pell City, Alabama. He loved his God and Country and was the Husband of 72 years to Dorothy Jane Harmon.

Joe is survived his wife: Dorothy Jane Harmon; children: Elizabeth Jane Harmon, Jo Lynne Harmon, Joe Dan Harmon Jr., John Samuel Harmon Sr. and Rebecca Anne McCay; daughter-in-laws: Carol Harmon and Tangela Harmon; son-in-law: Mark McCay; grandchildren: Joe Dan Harmon III, Racheal Harmon, Ashley & Damond Cottingham, Casey Sean & Shaila Harmon, Brandon Heath Harmon, John Samuel Harmon Jr., Tangelica Gabrielle & Josh Hall, Shayla McCay, Cody & Breanna McCay; great grandchildren: Brooklyn Turner, Annabelle Turner, Mia Harmon, Shawn Cottingham, Brantly Cottingham, Drake Cottingham, Laelah Cottingham, Frank Thomas Hall, Liam Harmon, Asher Harmon, Levi Harmon, Ryleigh Harmon, Rose Harmon and Faith Harmon; and siblings: Sara McKight and Randall Harmon.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Eldred Joe and Bessie Irene Harmon; and siblings: Jerely Young, Lyn Harmon, Sam Harmon and Elmer Harmon.

Joe was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church since 1950 He was a Teacher and Leader in the Community. Joe would welcome anyone at any time to sit down and talk about Jesus.

He not only believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Joe lived For Jesus each and every day. He will be Missed Greatly as we continue on our life’s Journey. Joe’s testimony will continue to be alive in his Family and Friends to be handed down for many generations to come.

Viewing for Joe Harmon will be Tuesday, February 8th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home (2219 Second Ave. North Pell city Alabama 35125) followed by a funeral service Wednesday, February 9th. Joe Harmon will be laid to rest at Valley Hill Cemetery in Pell City Alabama.

There will be food and fellowship for Family and Friends after Funeral Service located at 8890 US Hwy 231 Cropwell Alabama 35054 across from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and 1 1/2 miles on left south from Fat Mans BBQ
