A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Hobson "J" Adams Jr., age 92, of Riverside, will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at Coosa Valley Church of God (970 River Road; Cropwell) with Rev. Andy Lambert and Harlan Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until the service time, with burial to follow at Coleman Cemetery in Riverside. Mr. Adams died on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
J is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Adams; three daughters, Teresa Kerley and husband, Steve, Jan Mosier, Reba Underwood and husband, Toby; four sons, Justin Adams and wife, Denise, Clell Adams and wife, Tammy, Gary Hanner and wife, Ann-Marie, and Tony Brannon and wife, Louise; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
J is preceded in death by his parents, Rev Hobson and Cordelia Adams; two daughters, Laurie Kendrick and Katherine Adams; two son-in-laws, Steve Kendrick and Don Mosier; and two sisters and three brothers.
