David Thomas Morrow

David was born on July 12, 1981, to Shelton Morrow, Jr. and Melinda Luker.

David was an energetic person who never met a stranger. As a child, David loved playing sports. Whether wrestling or playing baseball for the Pell City Youth leagues or playing backyard football or basketball with the kids in Forrest Hills, David was always full of energy. David was an avid golfer, who could usually be found on the course at Pell City Country Club, Alpine Bay, or Trussville Country Club either with his dad or one of his many lifelong friends. Like many people in Pell City, David also loved to be on Logan Martin Lake fishing. He spent many wonderful days with his stepdad trolling around the lake looking for crappie.

To say that David was an avid Alabama football fan, would not do justice to his level of enthusiasm. David bled Crimson and White and loved all things Alabama. David was a kind soul who would do anything he could for the ones he loved. He enjoyed meeting people and would strike up a conversation with anyone he met. David’s career as a foreman for Southern Company took him all over the country and he was able to make many genuine friendships with his co-workers. David will be deeply missed by all who loved him and who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.

David is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Morrow; father, Shelton Rex Morrow Jr.; mother, Melinda Luker-Thomas; aunts and uncles, David Luker (Kathy) and Mary Freeman (Gary).

David was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joe Thomas; grandparents, Hubert and Catherine Luker and Shelton and Betty Morrow; step grandparents Joseph Milton and Irma Thomas; aunts, Melissa Michelle Polk and Sarah Bright.

A visitation will be from 2:30pm to 3:00pm Monday, December 30, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 3:00pm Monday December 30, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home.

To celebrate and remember his life, a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 3:00pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:30pm to 3:00pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.
