Bobbie was born on December 5th, 1940 to William Randolph (Randy) Peoples and Alma Brown in Orlando Florida.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband’s Kenneth Wayne Brown, John Mathews, her parents Randy and Alma Peoples, her sister Mary McArthur, brother Bud Peoples, son-in-law Jimmy Petenbrink, and daughter-in-law Lisa Mathews, Grandsons Joshua Mathews, and Gabriel Mathews.
Growing up, Bobbie helped raise her five siblings; Bud, John, Mary, Martha, Margie at a very young age.
At age 16, Bobbie married John William Mathews in 1956 in Orlando, Florida and raised their five children.
Later in life, Bobbie married Kenneth Wayne Brown and was married to him until his death in 2018.
Bobbie loved being a stay at home mother and always made sure her kids were clothed, fed and showed them love.
She was a very devoted wife and protective mother to her five children; Johnny Mathews (Lisa), Susie Mathews, Sonyia Petenbrink (Jimmie), Sherry Bortmas (Michael) and Tracy Mathews (Desirea), grand children (Brandy, Jeremy, Billy, Justin, Cody, Lauren, Ethan, Chase, Riley, Joshua, Brandon, Jennifer, and Daniel and numerous great grand children. Bobbie also has a great grandchild (Oliver Bortmas) on the way. She was loved by her husbands, children, grand children and all who got to know her.
Bobbie was known to her friends as a “sweetheart”, and admired as she helped raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bobbie had a great sense of humor but could be very feisty when it was necessary. She was a devoted Christian that prayed and read her Bible every day.
She loved to go to garage sales with her daughters almost weekly where she would pick up her favorite thing to buy, her jewelry. You never saw her without her earrings or a necklace on.
Bobbie had a favorite child which is her beloved dog, “Miss Priss.” Bobbie will be missed dearly by her family and all who had the privilege to know and love her. Mother was our hero, our wonder woman, who never raised her voice, and was never judgmental. Many of our friends considered mother a second mom and grandmother.
