William Adrian Beacham of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away at the age of 75 on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born in Birmingham on November 25, 1948 to parents Evelyn Martin Beacham and Frederick William Beacham.
Bill was raised in Montgomery, Alabama from the age of two and attended Trinity Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Lanier High School, where he played clarinet in the marching band, and later received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Troy University.
In 1980, Bill moved to Birmingham for work and attended Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where he met and married Rhonda Lee Thompson on June 25, 1988. His professional career spanned several years in human resources for the State of Alabama.
Bill was a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, an area leader for Briarwood, a leader for a singles ministry class, and a caretaker for his mother during her last years after the passing of his beloved step-father, Oye Stovall. In his leisure, he enjoyed travelling, antiquing, and family activities.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lawrence David Riley Jr. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Rebecca Lee Beacham; nephews, Michael David Riley (and wife Lisa) and Martin Slack Riley (and wife Laurel); sister-in-law, Bonnie; many wonderful cousins; and his wife's family whom he loved as his own.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The graveside service will be Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Southern Heritage Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Also on Thursday, March 14, the memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at the chapel at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, 2200 Briarwood Way, Birmingham, AL 35243.
