Wes is survived by his parents Kathy Johnson and Dr. Benjamin H. Johnson, III of Birmingham; his siblings Mallory Brooke Tuggle, Benjamin Hardy Johnson IV, Katie Johnson and Emily Ruth Terry along with his maternal grandparents, Mervyn and Patti Click, and paternal grandmother, Betty Tuggle. He also leaves the mother of his son Whitney Hamm and precious infant son, Whitten James Tuggle, in addition to Aunt Kimberly Savage and Uncles Doug and Boyd Click, Aunts Nancy Tuggle and Mary Pitman and Uncle Bobby Tuggle and wife Yvette. Reverend Tom Caradine ,officiating. He was predeceased by his father James Alan Tuggle and paternal grandfather Earl Tuggle.
He went to Spain Park High School and graduated from Auburn University in 2008 with a major in Economics where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and Phi Kappa Phi the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines. After college graduation he worked for Merrill Lynch and he was currently pursuing a degree from The Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
Wes placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ at an early age and was confident in a heavenly reunion with those he loved. He was someone who touched lives because of his love and passion for his family, friends, education, work and most recently for the gift of his son and his mother. He will lovingly be remembered and missed by all.
Visitation will be at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church on November 29, 2012 from 2-3 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Southern Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to establish an educational account trust for his son Whitten James Tuggle. The donations may be sent to Dr. Ben Johnson 1 Office Park Circle #200 Mountain Brook, Al 35223.
