Robert Gilmore Sullivan

Robert Gilmore Sullivan was born on February 22, 1933 to Philip Joseph Sullivan and Martha Gilbert Sullivan in Birmingham, Alabama. Bob received his formal education at Samford University. Bob was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. He was married to Rita Ann Conrad on July 1, 1960 in Panama City, Florida. Their union was blessed with 4 children.

Bob proudly served their country in the United States Navy. He was employed by Research Solvents and Chemical Company as Vice President of Sales for 42 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Rita C. Sullivan; children, Mark (Gena) Sullivan, Carey (Lynne) Sullivan, Darlene (Stephen) Bond, Laree (Ed) Hart; grandchildren, Auston (Kayla) Sullivan, Hannah (Adam) Pope, Andrew (Ashley) Sullivan, Peter (Alyssa) Sullivan, Jonathan Hart, Lucy Sullivan, Joel (Becca) Sullivan, Elizabeth Hart, David Hart and Richard Hart; great-grandchildren, Trevor Sullivan, Amelia Sullivan, Annie Pope, Levi Sullivan.

A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Green Valley Baptist Church, 1815 Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, AL 35226, followed by a funeral service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A burial will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery.
