She is survived by her husband of 33 years, David Sears; son, Bryan Sears; mother and father, Mayron Boyce and James white of Birmingham; brother, Ricky White (Andrea) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; uncle, Danny Bryan, of Pensacola, Florida; uncle, Ray Bryan (Mary Ann) of Lacey's Springs, Alabama; sister-in-laws, Jan Smith (Jason) of Pearland, Texas; Linda Leon (Vince) of Littleton, Colorado; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Born in Gadsden, Alabama, Patti attended high school in Piedmont, Alabama and graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) and obtained her BS degree from USL in Lafayette, Louisiana. She and David met and married in Houston, Texas. She made friends and "she had fun" as she resided in Alabama, Florida, Texas, California, and Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1 p.m. with visitation at the adjoining funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local animal shelter or to the Tony LaRussa Animal Rescue Foundation in support of her passion.
