Kathryn went to be with her Lord, her husband, and her family that went before her, on September 6, 2014. Kathryn was a wonderful, loving sister and friend who will never be forgotten and who can never be replaced. In addition to her family and friends, Kathryn loved and supported the University of Alabama and was a huge Bama fan in all sports.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Thomas; her mother and father, George and Lydia August; brothers, Edward, George, Philip and Robert August; and sister, Irene Snow.
She is survived by her sister, Georgiann August; brother, Richard August; sisters-in-law, Mae August and Clara August as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks go to her nephews, Dr. Philip August and Dr. Kelley Snow, and her doctor, Joanne Roseman who were with her. Other appreciation goes to her caregivers, Peggi, Jessica and Melanie, and her caring neighbors.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. A 2:00pm chapel service will follow with burial in Southern Heritage Cemetery.
