Judy Eady Kinney

Judy was born in Birmingham, AL to Roy and Peggy Eady on July 25, 1961. She graduated from Huffman High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama. She was married for 36 years to Patrick Joseph Kinney Jr. She was employed as an accountant until the birth of her daughter in 1992 but resumed work full-time in 2008. Judy was a woman of strong faith and compassion. She was involved in many church activities including teaching children’s Sunday school and Chancel Choir. Judy will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother who enjoyed creating lasting memories for others through her kindness and thoughtfulness.

Judy is survived by her husband Patrick, daughter Mary, parents Roy and Peggy Eady, sister Carolyn (Jeff) Moses, and brother Joe (Laura) Eady. In addition, she leaves behind beloved in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Services will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church on Monday, September 26, 2022, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM and the funeral following at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Asbury United Methodist Church, 6690 Cahaba Valley Road, Birmingham, AL 35242, or Irondale United Methodist Church, 400 Deering Street, Irondale, AL 35210.
