Mr. John Michael Adams, age 72, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. John (Johnny), the son of John Wilburn Adams and Frances (Joree) Scruggs Adams, was born on November 11, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama.
John grew up in Susan Moore, Alabama and graduated from Susan Moore High School in 1969. He would go on to attend the University of Alabama graduating with a degree in finance. He married his loving wife, Jean, in 1978 and shared a beautiful marriage for over 45 years. John was a sales representative at PACCAR Financial until he retired in 2019. John and Jean have attended The Church at Brook Hills since 1991, where he served as a Lay Pastor for several years.
John had a profound impact on everyone that knew him; he never met a stranger. His smile and laughter were contagious, and he was known for making the best scrambled eggs around. He was full of wisdom and was infamous for his storytelling which would include as many details as he could recall about everything imaginable. John was funny and had an amazing gift of making people laugh. He was a huge Alabama fan, but you would never see him wear their colors to any football games. Instead, he would stand out in his yellow or green shirts.
His love for Christ was seen in all that he did. John was the most devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The support he showed his family will forever be unmatched. He lived for watching every event that his children and grandchildren participated in. Everyone knew that he was their biggest fan.
