Beloved father and husband, passed away in the arms of his wife and daughters on December 19, 2012.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
Guy was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on May 16, 1948 to Guy Abner and Helene LaVonne Eason. Guy joined the Army in 1964. He served two tours in Vietnam. During his tenure in the Army he served as a Tactical Communications Chief, Field Artillery Senior Sergeant, and First Sergeant. He retired in 1992 as the CSM of the HHB, 4/29th Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Armor Division, Baumholder, Federal Republic of Germany.
Guy was a small business owner in Alabaster, Alabama for several years. He was active in Westwood Baptist Church, serving as in the Pre-school Department as a K-5 Sunday School Teacher for 18 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marybeth Eason, three daughters, Tonya Eastman and her husband Thomas of Columbus, Georgia, Tiffany Daggett and her husband David of Iwakuni, Japan, and Sydney Eason of Alabaster, Alabama, as well as two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Helene LaVonne Faircloth, one brother, Larry Faircloth, and one sister, Pamela Martin, and special nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father Guy Abner Eason, and brother, Benjamin Eason.
Guy, we know you will always be watching over us. We love you and you will always be with us, remembered and missed.
The family wishes in lieu of flowers, that a donation be made in his memory to Westwood Baptist Church, Preschool Department, 115 Alabaster Blvd, Alabaster, Alabama, 35007.
