Don Richard Reeves

Don received his formal education at Lamar County High School in Vernon, Alabama. He was a member of Oak Mountain Baptist Church.

He was married to Faye Bush on October 3, 1963. Their union was blessed with three children. Don proudly served in the United States Army.

He was employed by BellSouth as a Lineman for 22 years and Brasfield & Gorrie as a Carpenter for 25 years. In his leisure, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, thrift shopping and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Don was a member of Oak Mountain Baptist Church. He was a part of the National Beekeepers Association, Alabama Agricultural Association and Carpenters Local No. 127.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Billie Joyce Reeves Hodges.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Edna Faye Bush Reeves; children, Joy Denise Reeves (Garner Bryson), Susan Michelle Reeves (Vance Moncada), and Paula Rhnea Reeves Davis; grandchildren, Rebecca Daniell Garner Garrick, Sarah Katelyn Davis, and John Archimedes Davis; other family, loving feisty dog, Brittany.

Visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 am followed by a graveside service at Oak Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery at 12:15 pm.
