She is survived by her husband, Rick Rankin; children, Kimberly and Matt Rankin; sister, Mary (Bill) Levey; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lois and John Leonard; sisters, Patricia Burnett and Sharlene Madonia; and brothers, Jerry and Mike Leonard.
Debbie was born on February 28, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama, and resided her entire life in the area. She graduated from West End High School in 1975 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from UAB in Marketing. She worked for 38 years at Alagasco before retiring in 2015.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montevallo, Alabama from 2-3 p.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. A private graveside service for family will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama.
