It is with sadness that the family of Ms. Christine Ashley Romano announces her unexpected passing Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the age of 32 years. Ms. Romano was a resident of Gardendale, Alabama, restaurant manager at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Homewood, and grew up in the city of Vestavia Hills.
Ms. Romano was preceded in death by her loving father, Anthony John Romano, Sr.; grandparents, C.O. Paugh, Virginia Paugh, Mary Jane Romano, and Harry Romano; as well as step-sister, Sarah Marie Aufdenkampe; aunts, Paige Scott and Joanne Johnson; and uncle, Joe Romano.
Ms. Romano will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lacey Breanna Caldwell; her mother, Pamela Turner (Paugh) Romano; her brother, Anthony John Romano Jr. (Libby); her step-father, John Aufdenkampe, Jr.; and step-brothers, John III and Steven Aufdenkampe (Sarah). She will also be fondly remembered by her fiancé, Joe Warr, as well as Lacey’s father, Jason Caldwell; and a loving extended family that includes uncles, Brent (Gay-Lynn) and Dean Paugh (Lynne); cousins, Brittany Paugh Parks, and Morgan and Matthew Paugh; and a host of Romano cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. All of Ms. Romano's friends and coworkers mourn her passing as well.
Visitation will be at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124 on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by the service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
