Chuck Cimino passed away Saturday, January 8th, at his home in Maylene, Alabama, at 74 years of age. Originally from Madison, OH, he was a 1965 graduate of Madison Memorial High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1967 and volunteered for Vietnam shortly after. He spent 2-1/2 years in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne, 265th ASA Radio Research Company. He was awarded The Bronze Star and The Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster for his service, along with other unit citations. Being an adventurous soul, he loved to travel and saw many parts of the world by plane, boat, car and motorcycle. Chuck is survived by his wife, Martha; daughters, Michelle Ratliff and Alana Ingram; grandchildren, Christopher Young and Alexis Young. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom Cimino of Concord, OH, Don Cimino of Geneva, OH, Ken Cimino of Madison, OH, Rick Cimino of Madison, OH; sisters, Dorothy Wilkins of Angler, NC and Carole Cimino of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Cimino and brother, Jeffrey. Arrangements are being handled by Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. A visitation with reception will be held on Thursday, January 13th, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a committal service with military honors at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at 1:15 PM.
