Brenda graduated from Walker County High School. "B" worked as an administrative assistant for Roy Martin Construction, and was a member of Journey Baptist Church.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Clayton, whom she married on July 18, 1977; her father, Hoyle Humphries; a sister, Marilyn Humphries Pate; and one brother, James Edward Humphries.
Survivors include Brenda's mother, Nellie Jean Lee Humphries; children, Sherry Clayton (Jennifer Hodge), Jennifer Turner (Sammy), Jason Clayton (Beth), and Lilly Clayton; grandchildren, Roger Schulz, Hannah Rose Turner (Skyler Horton), Emma Kate Turner, Sophie Turner, Chad Clayton, Haley Clayton, and Savannah Plunkett; three great-grandchildren, Eli, Harper, and Copelynn Ray; two brothers, Jimmy Humphries and Roger Dale Humphries; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The graveside service will be the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Helena City Cemetery.
