Betty Elizabeth Wade

Betty Elizabeth Lovelady Wade, age 93, of Helena, Alabama passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was born on September 5, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert Houston Lovelady and Bertha Willie Davidson Lovelady.

Betty was a faithful daughter, wife, mother, homemaker, and friend. She was a long-time member of Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and her favorite pastimes included cooking, preparing for and celebrating the holidays with her family, and listening to and playing music on the piano.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Cecil Garnett Wade; her parents; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include Betty's children, Rita Wade Warren (Hollis), Cecil Gary Wade (Hope), Annette Wade, and Rhonda Wade Sides (Anthony); nine grandchildren, Lee, Nathan, Lydia, Justin, Carlie, Alex, Erin, Jordan, and Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Cayson.

The family will greet friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 1-2 p.m., immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for Betty Wade at 2 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Burial will be at Helena City Cemetery. Pastor Mike Ensminger will officiate.
