After graduating from Shades Valley High School in 1959, she attended the University of Alabama for one year and transferred to Birmingham Southern College where she graduated in 1963. She was a member of Pi Beta Pi sorority and was active in other student organizations. Following graduation she worked for Birmingham Trust National Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank) as an executive secretary, where she remained until she retired.
She was an active member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for many years and later joined South Highland Presbyterian Church, where she served on the board of the South Highland Center. She later joined Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Snoddy, and several cousins.
A visitation will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. A funeral service for Betty will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at11:00 AM.
A graveside service will occur Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Franconia Cemetery, Aliceville, Aliceville, AL 35442.
