PEKIN ~ Yvonne Marilyn Morris, 72, of Pekin, passed away at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at her residence.Born January 18, 1940 in Pekin to John George and Mary Elouise (Adcock) Maas, she married Gordon Lee Morris on January 8, 1957 in Pekin.Surviving are her mother, Mary E. Maas of Pekin; two daughters, Debby (Dennis) Hoehn of South Pekin and Teresa (Rich) Sebelist of Pekin; two sons, Gordon Lee (Sherry) Morris of Pekin and Steven (Laura Wilson) Morris of South Pekin; five grandchildren, Brandi (Ricky) Clendenny of South Pekin, Mindi (Kenny) Mitzelfelt of Green Valley, Nathan (Krista) Hoehn of Pekin, Kailee Winkler and Chelsee Wineburner, both of Pekin; two step-granddaughters, Jennifer Sutton of Lewistown and Krista (Bryce Foster) Hoehn of Pekin; seven great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Pam) Maas, Jr. of Green Valley, Larry (Pat) Maas of Vandalia, MI and one sister, Diane (Gary) Mathison of Bradenton, FL.She was preceded in death by her father and a sister-in-law, Pearlene Maas.Yvonne was a 1958 graduate of Pekin Community High School and had attended Illinois Central College.Yvonne worked as a customer service representative for Swinford Insurance in Pekin for 12 years, retiring in 2002.  She was an Illinois licensed insurance producer.She was a devoted member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin, where she was a Deaconess and choir member.  She also was a member of the friendship club at the church.  She was a former member of the Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673.Yvonne was an avid reader and enjoyed flower gardening.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Jay Sowers will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.Memorial contributions may be made to Second Reformed Church, 600 State Street, Pekin, IL 61554 or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2211 North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707.
