William Gary Thompson

He was born August 17, 1951 in Peoria to William Jerald and Wilma Belle (Yates) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Brenda Smith.

Surviving are one son, Douglas (Dawn) Mobley of Bloomington; two daughters, Melissa (Timm) Gillick of Peoria and Sara (Cole) Herzog of West Lafayette, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Lily Isabel Mobley, Ruby and Lyra Herzog, Asher Gillick, Ryan and Kaity Hunter and Adam Hamm; one great-grandchild, Keagan Belden; one niece, Karen Smith of East Peoria; one nephew, Alan Tod (Kim) Smith of Callahan, Florida; two great-nephews, Matthew (Rin) and Brodie; two great-nieces, Rhian and Jocelyn and one great-great-niece, Sophie.

Gary worked at ADM Growmark in Peoria for several years and provided care for his mother.

He enjoyed gardening and fishing, and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs.

His graveside service will be at Fon du Lac Township Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
