He was born August 8, 1934 in Pekin to Thomas P. and Lydia (Davis) Landrith. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Phillip Landrith and one sister, Ella Mae Lee.
Surviving are brothers, James (Bea) Landrith of Pekin and Earl Landrith of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Minnie (Dean) McKinney of Coal City and Mary (Phillip) Wilcox of Columbus, Ohio; one half-brother, William (Debbie) Landrith of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He worked for many years at American Distillery. He later worked for Pekin Insurance for 14 years. He then worked for Professional Cleaning Service in Pekin.
Tom was an avid karaoke singer. He also enjoyed playing shuffleboard, darts and bowling with his friends.
He had been a lifetime member of the George Maple Memorial AMVETS post #235 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1869, both in Pekin.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, where military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
