Sandra Lee Dale

Born April 9, 1953 in Peoria, she was the daughter of David Bruce and Veronica Kay (Peckem) Murphy. She married Larry Eugene Dale on December 31, 1992 in Groveland. He survives.

Also surviving are five children, David Harris, Sean Harris, both of Morton, Bobby (Patty) Dale of Jacksonville, Nilee “Pam” (Rick) Howard of Waverly and Trisha (Roger) Clemons of Bloomington; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and three sisters, Donna Burger of Washington, Teri Trovato of Ardmor, Oklahoma and Kathy Murphy of West Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steve Murphy.

A homemaker, Sandy loved her grandkids and spoiled them every chance she could. She also enjoyed camping and traveling. Sandy had a large rock collection from her travels too.

She was an active member of The Journey Church in East Peoria, where she was a greeter and assisted at the church in many ways.

Her celebration of life gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at at The Journey Church in East Peoria, where a service will be officiated by Pastor Brock Winkler at 1 p.m. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
